Matrix Recruitment is seeking candidates for a Health & Safety Officer based in the Republic of Ireland (Field-Based/Hybrid Role). Permanent role – Full-time (39 hours per week) You'll be responsible for supporting safe, effective service delivery across site-based and office operations in a hybrid position.
This role is ideal for someone ROI-based with practical experience in health and safety across multiple sites and environments. Your new role Key Responsibilities:Provide practical health and safety guidance to field and office staffConduct audits, inspections, and site visits across Ireland and Northern IrelandEnsure RAMS, risk assessments, and H&S training are in place and compliantIntegrate H&S considerations into project planning and daily operationsInvestigate incidents, identify root causes, and support corrective actionMaintain records in line with compliance and audit requirementsDeliver toolbox talks and internal H&S training sessionsStay current on HSA & HSE legislation and promote best practice What You Need:Level 7 Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent).3+ years' experience in a H&S advisory role, ideally in a multi-site, service-based setting.Familiarity with ISO: 45001 and ISO: 14001 standards.IOSH graduate membership (or actively working towards it).Excellent communication skills – able to engage both field and office staff.
