Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and develop a capable finance team, delegating effectively and fostering succession planning by promoting ownership, problem-solving, and proactive communication across the team.
* Support the profitable business growth agenda of the organisation, in partnership with key stakeholders.
* Collaborate to establish a detailed operating model connecting key operational metrics with P&L items to enable senior leaders to understand and optimise the business for growth.
* Contribute to creating and maintaining trading models / forecasts to enable accurate predictions of quarterly and full-year results based on current trading performance.
* Provide business partnering support and challenge commercial and operational teams, ensuring consistent application of business processes while acting as a trusted advisor on project performance, cost control, and commercial decision-making.
* Participate in driving divisional cost management by monitoring, reviewing, and challenging overheads and operating costs monthly.
* Work collaboratively with the procurement team to identify opportunities for reducing costs and introducing efficiencies.
* Support setting detailed budgets and reforecasts for the division and ensuring participation and alignment from the entire team.
* Manage cash flow management, including treasury management, working capital management, and other actions to maximise balance sheet efficiency through collaboration with senior leaders and finance colleagues.
* Deliver accurate, timely, and relevant monthly management accounts meeting all local time limits.
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations with clear accountability and escalation protocols.
* Lead monthly performance reviews with stakeholders, translating financial data into actionable insights.
* Identify opportunities for process and system improvements through SAP optimisation, aiming to automate tasks, reduce manual work, and increase data reliability.
* Contribute to developing and implementing Finance SOPs, onboarding documents, and process maps.
* Manage corporate tax obligations and ensure compliance with applicable audit and governance matters for legal entities within the division.
* Collaborate with senior leaders to lead the company's capital investment strategy.
* Deliver annual statutory financial reporting in line with required timescales and applicable accounting standards, managing external relationships with auditors and professional advisors.
