We are looking to recruit an energetic, initiative-taking, and enthusiastic person who wishes to join our fast-paced operations team.
Your Role: This is a hands-on role which will keep you challenged in a busy port while providing support to ship and terminal will involve working days, evenings and weekends in support of operations as part of a team where you will utilise your skills.
Required Skills: Strong commitment to safety Self-motivated, with a proactive, can-do attitude Highly adaptable, with a flexible approach to working hours and tasks Strong communicator Excellent literacy and numeracy skills Performs calmly and effectively under pressure Collaborative team player Independent self-starter, ready to take initiative Qualifications and Experience: Prior experience operating cargo handling equipment and machinery which will enhance your training across a range of Port related equipment Experience in a port environment is beneficial, though not essential Experience with other types of industrial machinery will be an advantage On-the-job training will be provided; however, candidates must hold a full drivers license (car or HGV) Interest in driving for work This is an exciting opportunity to start work in the Port and develop your career where in return we will offer you a generous remuneration package.
