Full Stack .NET Developer

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack .NET Developer to join a collaborative Agile development team building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. You'll work primarily with C#, Core, and SQL Server, with opportunities to contribute to modern frontend technologies such as Angular, React, or Blazor.
This role offers the chance to work on end-to-end software development - from design and implementation through to testing, deployment, and continuous improvement - in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain .NET Core applications and RESTful APIs.
2. Implement robust and scalable backend services in C# with a strong emphasis on performance and reliability.
3. Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate dynamic, responsive interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
4. Work with SQL Server or PostgreSQL to design data models, write queries, and ensure optimal performance.
5. Participate in all stages of the SDLC, including code reviews, testing, and deployment.
6. Use Git for version control and contribute to clean, maintainable codebases.
7. Engage in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, stand-ups).
8. Support the adoption of cloud technologies and DevOps pipelines to streamline delivery.
9. Contribute innovative ideas and explore how emerging technologies (including AI) can enhance applications.
Required Skills & Experience
10. 3+ years' experience in software development using C# and .NET (Framework or Core).
11. Proven experience with Core, Web APIs, and Entity Framework.
12. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
13. Strong proficiency with SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
14. Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Blazor.
15. Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
16. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
Desirable Skills
17. Experience with Azure or AWS.
18. Knowledge of authentication frameworks (OAuth, OpenID Connect).
19. Exposure to containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
20. Interest in AI integration or emerging .NET technologies.
Work Environment
Hybrid position based in Kilkenny, with the expectation of 3 days per week in-office and flexibility for remote work on remaining days.
