Key Role:

A key role exists in our facilities management division, seeking a highly skilled individual to manage daily maintenance and upkeep of the hospital.

* This involves close working relationships with the facilities maintenance team and external contractors to ensure smooth operation of the hospital.


About the Position

* Supervise front of house service teams, closely collaborating with catering and housekeeping supervisors to maintain and improve an excellent service within the hospital.


Key Responsibilities


Operational Management

* Line management responsibility of porters, housekeeping staff and catering staff.
* Work closely with the facilities manager, providing cover when necessary.
* Oversight of daily working patterns for the Front of House team, ensuring operational needs are met.
* Assist front of house supervisors in drawing up rotas and service scheduling.


Management and Monitoring

* Monitor compliance with environmental cleaning audits, coordinating follow-up actions with the housekeeping supervisor.
* Support the catering supervisor in maintaining high food service standards, adhering to hygiene codes and implementing improvement plans.
* Closely work with the maintenance team, coordinating repair and maintenance jobs safely and compliantly.


People Management

* Responsible for supervising employees assigned by the Facilities Manager.
* Manage absence according to hospital policy.
* Conduct performance reviews as required.
* Address all staff-related concerns/issues in line with organisational policy.


General Requirements

* May require working in other areas of the hospital as needed, following instructions from your line manager or deputy.
* Staff must provide satisfactory documentation for any training and experience claimed, if requested.

The ideal candidate will have previous managerial or supervisory experience, preferably with large team supervision. Facilities Management experience is desirable, as is knowledge of hygiene standards, infection control and HACCP.
