St. Christopher's Service provides a comprehensive, efficient, and innovative service to people with intellectual disabilities.
It is a high quality, community-based service, based on identified individualised needs, enabling service users to reach their fullest potential.
We are looking for staff who are committed to supporting people with disabilities and their families, in a person centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our mission and national standards, underpinned by quality and best practice and research.
Day Services
37.5 hours per week.
Specified purpose 9 Months to 1 Year.
St Christopher's Services is currently recruiting for a Nurse within Day Services.
The post holder will maintain the highest attainable standards of person-centred care, to promote optimum independence and to enhance the quality of life of the Service Users in all aspects of daily living.
The nurse will assist with the smooth running of the service and may be assigned to other day service locations as required.
Qualifications
Be on the current register as maintained by An Bord Altranais / NMBI and preferably possess the RNID qualification.
Experience
Up to date knowledge of best practice in the field of health and social care and an ability to implement this, in accordance with the Nurse's Act ****
Preferably have experience working with adults with an Intellectual Disability and must demonstrate an excellent understanding of the health, social and emotional needs of these individuals
Knowledge and understanding of New Directions / HIQA Standards & any other relevant legislative requirements.
Other
Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of role is essential.
