Facilitating Career Development
We are seeking a skilled individual to facilitate career development opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. As a Careers and Employment Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism to develop meaningful work experiences.
The primary objective is to foster a culture of personal growth and empowerment. You will engage with employers and mainstream services to create pathways for employment, assess and profile placements, and assist service users to integrate fully into the workplace.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor of Arts in Education or Training
* Post Graduate qualification in Education or Training
* Social Care Studies, Applied Social Care Studies, Teaching QQI Level Bachelor of Arts qualifications
Candidates should possess a minimum of 1 year's experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, demonstrating competencies and skills appropriate to this field. Experience in creating work placement or paid work opportunities is essential.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of New Directions Standards for Day Services, Person Centered Planning, and an understanding of the needs of people with disabilities. They will be able to provide enabling support for individuals to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.
