We are working exclusively with a Private Equity platform in Dublin who are looking to hire a Financial Controller. Our client is a market leader in the renewable energy and sustainability sector and has deployed over €1bln across Europe in recent years. Given the exponential growth of the fund, they are now looking to hire a Financial Controller/ Director.Working alongside the Senior Investment Committee, the Financial Controller will have responsibility for:
1. Spearheading the implementation and integration of an accountancy software package to efficiently manage reporting and budgeting needs across all investee companies.
2. Developing and preparing budget forecast models and historical financial reporting which will require frequent interactions with key stakeholders.
3. Monitoring ongoing expenditure within quarterly and strategic budgets and monitoring quarterly budgets to ensure they fall within the remit of strategic approvals.
4. Preparing quarterly investment committee approval papers, including budgetary requests.
Requirements
5. ACA/ ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA qualified.
6. Ideally Big 4 qualified with 5-10 years Post Qualified Experience (PQE).
7. Experience in the renewables industry, particularly in early stage (planning and pre-planning) development of renewables infrastructure, is preferable.
8. A resilient character with the ability to operate optimally within a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.
9. Ability to form enduring relationships within the business and with investors and investees.
