Role Overview
Lotus Care provides a range of respite, residential and support services to Children & Adults with intellectual disabilities in a homely and comfortable community setting.
As a Quality Assurance Officer, you'll work closely with the QSPD Manager, Regional Managers and PICs to ensure compliance with HIQA and other relevant standards. Key Responsibilities
* Support the QSPD Manager in service audits, quality reviews, and tracking of action plans across multiple service locations.
* Maintain accurate records of quality, safety, and compliance initiatives, ensuring consistent standards nationwide.
* Coordinate updates and implementation of policies and procedures, promoting local compliance and staff awareness.
* Collect and analyse service data, preparing reports and summaries for senior management.
* Provide administrative and logistical support for quality and governance meetings and forums.
* Promote person-centred practice through engagement with individuals supported, families, and staff.
* Maintain incident and risk registers, monitoring trends and supporting follow-up actions.
* Coordinate training activities across services, including scheduling and identifying local needs.
* Conduct regular site visits to observe practice, identify improvements, and support local teams in implementing quality measures.
* Advise and guide service staff on procedures, protocols, safeguarding, and compliance requirements.
* Promote ongoing awareness of safeguarding and safe working practices during visits.
* Record and track meeting actions to ensure timely completion of quality improvements.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience working in residential disability services.
* In-depth knowledge of HIQA regulatory requirements and person-centred support frameworks.
* QQI L7/ 8 in a relevant field e.g. social care or healthcare management.
* Full clean driver's licence.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently
* High attention to detail and IT proficiency.
Desirable:
* Experience with auditing or quality assurance systems
* Familiarity with risk management, safeguarding, or training coordination.
* QQI Training qualification.
