Staffline Recruitment Ireland, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join their growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Shannon, Co. Clare.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce high-precision components according to technical specifications. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, commitment to quality, and a strong understanding of CNC machine operation in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include:

1. Develop and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
2. Set up CNC machines, including tool selection and fixture setup.
3. Interpret technical drawings, models, and specifications.
4. Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure tolerances are met.
5. Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to improve efficiency and accuracy.
6. Ensure compliance with company quality standards and health & safety regulations.
7. Maintain accurate documentation of programs, machine settings, and changes.
8. Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality personnel to optimise processes.
9. Provide training and guidance to junior machinists and operators.
10. Perform routine maintenance and machine troubleshooting.
11. Ensure compliance with ISO/AS9100 and other relevant quality standards.
12. Work to tight tolerances and inspect own work to uphold quality output.

Criteria:

19. 2+ years of experience operating CNC machines;
20. Strong knowledge of G-code-, M-code, and CNC programming;
21. Familiarity with Hypermill Software is desirable;
22. Proficiency in using measuring tools and inspection equipment (Callipers, Micrometers and CMMs).
