Job Description
As a skilled Toolmaker, you will be responsible for performing scheduled tool maintenance prior to and post production, as well as supporting reactive maintenance during production.
The ideal candidate will have a fully qualified toolmaking background, with experience in hot runner systems and valve gate systems, including wiring of the same.
They will also possess excellent problem-solving capabilities and experience of standard plastic injection moulding, over-moulding, and 2-Shot moulding with relevant industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled tool maintenance pre & post production, as well as support reactive maintenance during production.
* Verify incoming tool spares procured.
* Review and maintain plastic injection tools, jigs and fixtures when required.
* Possess the skill set to completely disassemble, clean, polish, assess for wear areas, report on same, and reassemble.
* Keep accurate maintenance records.
* Investigate root cause as required, and support corrective actions to analyze quality and process problems.
* Participate in validation of new products and equipment as required.
Requirements
You should have a strong foundation in toolmaking, preferably with a degree or equivalent qualification. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as being able to work independently and as part of a team.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential, along with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
It would be beneficial if you had experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
