Purpose of the Role:
The Locum Consultant Paediatrician will work alongside existing consultant General Paediatricians to develop the Departments of General Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurodisability across Children’s Health Ireland sites.
The role involves providing healthcare to children with neuro-disability, supporting general paediatrics, expanding outpatient clinics, and improving access to specialists. The appointee will collaborate with colleagues across five sites and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
Additional Responsibilities:
Work as a Locum Consultant Paediatrician at LauraLynn, Ireland's Children’s Hospice, providing complex medical and palliative care to children with life-limiting conditions. Lead and coordinate medical services, develop care pathways, and ensure clinical governance standards are met. Support the integration of services between CHI and LauraLynn.
Essential Criteria:
* Registration as a specialist in paediatrics with the Medical Council of Ireland.
* At least two years of postgraduate training in paediatric Neurodisability/community child health or a strong interest in these areas.
The candidate must be registered as a specialist before appointment and maintain registration throughout employment.
