The role
Our client, a leading travel arrangement company with a strong international presence, is currently seeking an experienced Travel Reservations Consultant to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a sales-driven travel professional with strong cruise product knowledge and GDS experience to join a dynamic, performance-focused environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Call Centre Cruise Manager / Country Manager, you will be responsible for managing cruise reservations from enquiry to post-booking support. You will provide expert advice to both travel agents and direct customers, ensuring exceptional service while maximising revenue opportunities.
This role combines cruise sales expertise, booking management, ancillary upselling, and high-level customer service within a fast-paced call centre environment.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound enquiries from travel agents and direct customers
Provide detailed advice on cruise lines, itineraries, ships, cabin types, and onboard experiences
Accurately create and process cruise bookings in line with supplier policies
Promote preferred cruise partners and monthly campaigns
Meet or exceed individual sales, revenue, and commission targets
Process booking amendments including:
Date and cabin changes
Upgrades and re-pricing
Flights, hotels, transfers, tours, and add-ons
Handle special requests and resolve booking issues efficiently
Maintain high customer satisfaction and retention
Ancillary Revenue Generation
Maximise every sales opportunity by promoting:
Pre- and post-cruise accommodation
Flights and upgrades
Transfers and car hire
Shore excursions
Insurance, parking, and onboard packages
Systems & Administration
Use GDS systems (Amadeus / Galileo) and cruise booking platforms
Cost and organise travel itineraries
Maintain accurate booking records and complete required administration
About You
We are looking for a confident and customer-focused cruise specialist who thrives in a target-driven environment.
Previous cruise reservations or travel consultant experience
Strong worldwide and European cruise destination knowledge
GDS experience (Amadeus and/or Galileo)
Proven sales performance in a call centre or travel environment
Excellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to multitask and work under pressure
