Occupational Therapist Donegal Services, County Donegal Permanent, 19.5hours Job Purpose The Occupational Therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred supports to children and/or adults with intellectual, physical, and sensory disabilities.

The role involves assessing individual needs, developing intervention plans, and supporting service users to maximise independence, participation, and quality of life across home, school, respite, and community settings.

Clients of the Rehab Care Donegal Service are over 18 years of age, finished in second level education, and have a primary diagnosis of intellectual disability, other diagnosis' including Autism, Physical and Sensory Disabilities, and associated clinical support needs.

The post holder will achieve this through the implementation of an accessible, equitable, person-centered service, based in the service location and in the community.

The post holder will work within the Rehab Care Donegal Service; working as part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering a coordinated approach to client support and intervention.

S/he will provide Occupational Therapy intervention to Rehab Care Donegal clients through an internal referral process, and will also be required to work as a Key Worker, where necessary, for individual clients, as agreed with the Community Services Manager/Regional Manager of the Service.

This includes responsibility for developing, planning, implementing and reviewing support/intervention programmes for clients according to service standards.

Minimum Education & Skills required * Essential: A minimum of one years' experience working in the field of disability, education or training.

* Essential: Must hold a qualification recognised by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.

* Experience in working within disability services, ideally in residential, day, or respite care settings.

* Delivery of occupational therapy assessments including functional, sensory, and environmental assessments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and review of treatment / intervention programmes for clients according to service standards.

Document* all assessments, intervention plans, progress notes, reports and referrals in accordance with Rehab Care Donegal Service and professional standards.

This includes written and verbal collaboration with Rehab Care Donegal team.

To maintain quality standards of practice and participate in quality assurance and clinical audit as appropriate, including maintaining professional standards in relation to confidentiality, ethics and legislation.

Operate* within the scope of Irish Occupational Therapy practice and in accordance with local guidelines.

To manage own caseload in accordance with the needs of the post.

This to be done in line with the service requirements, including advocating on behalf of clients and their family where appropriate.

Collaborate* with clients, their support networks, and other members of the Rehab Care Donegal Team in support/intervention planning, and in the provision of support and advice.
