Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior/Intermediate Buyer to join our team at CSR, working on various projects across the construction sector. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals to develop their skills and career in procurement.
Main Responsibilities:
* To work alongside the estimating team during the tender process to determine material prices.
* To secure the best prices for materials and build upon existing client relationships.
* To determine alternative products to maximise commercial advantage.
* To prepare queries and enquiries for relevant parties and negotiate with suppliers.
* To produce and understand procurement schedules, purchase orders, and support site teams.
* To ensure materials are provided to specifications and maintain the vision and brand of the company.
* To report overruns and predict increases.
Requirements:
* Strong communication skills.
* A sound understanding of the construction process.
* The ability to read drawings and understand specs.
* Sound product and material knowledge.
* Prioritisation of tasks and time management.
* The ability to utilise online market pricing strategies.
* A team player.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
