Mar fhóntas uisce rialáilte náisiúnta na hÉireann, is í ár bhfís go mbeidh Éire inbhuanaithe ann ina bhfuil meas ar uisce agus ina bhfuil sé cosanta, don domhan agus do na saolta uile a gcothaítear leis.Is é an cuspóir atá ag Uisce Éireann ná a bheith inchurtha leis an dúshlán a bhaineann le seirbhísí bunathraitheacha uisce a sholáthar chun go mbeidh rath ar phobail. Ciallaíonn sé sin go bhfuilimid bródúil as an bhfreagracht a ghlacadh as ár soláthar uisce a chosaint agus córas sábháilte uisce a chur ar aghaidh chuig daonra atá ag fás go tapa agus fás sóisialta agus eacnamaíoch na hÉireann a chumhachtú. Dírímid, mar sin, ar chabhrú lenár bhfoireann an obair is fearr dá saol a dhéanamh ionas go mbeidh tionchar dearfach ag an obair sin ar phobail ar fud na hÉireann. Tá sé mar aidhm againn daoine cumasacha oilte a mhealladh agus a fhorbairt, ar daoine iad as cúlraí éagsúla agus ag a bhfuil saineolas agus tuiscint a bhíonn ag dul i bhfeabhas i gcónaí. Déanann an fheidhm maoirseacht ar leachtacht, ar infheistíochtaí, ar mhaoiniú, ar bhainistíocht airgid thirim, ar ghníomhaíochtaí tuairiscithe agus ar rioscaí airgeadais UÉ agus tá sí freagrach as próisis chisteáin, nósanna imeachta, agus timpeallacht rialaithe den chéad scoth a fhorbairt agus a choimeád. Sa bhreis air sin, cuireann na foirne pleanáil chorparáideach, buiséadú agus réamhaisnéisiú, agus na gníomhaíochtaí gaolmhara uile chun cinn ar son Uisce Éireann agus tá siad cuntasach maidir le samhlacha réamhaisnéisithe ghearrthéarma agus fhadtéarma a fhorbairt, a bheachtú agus a anailísiú ar fud na heagraíochta mar aon le comhlíonadh, straitéis agus pleanáil cánach.Cinntíonn an réimse Airgeadais taobh istigh d'Uisce Éireann go ndéantar bainistíocht airgeadais éifeachtúil ar an eagraíocht agus soláthraíonn sé saineolas, seirbhísí agus faisnéis chun tacú leis an ngnólacht na torthaí atá ag teastáil uaidh a bhaint amach, lena n-áirítear tacaíocht a thabhairt do riachtanais airgeadais agus faisnéise Uisce Éireann. Forbraíonn an Fhoireann Airgeadais Chorparáidigh réimsí Cuntasaíochta Airgeadais agus Bainistíochta Uisce Éireann agus cuireann sí faisnéis airgeadais bainistíochta, reachtúil agus rialála ar fáil agus cinntíonn sí go gcuirtear an leibhéal is airde dearbhaithe agus seirbhíse ar fáil maidir le cúrsaí airgeadais na heagraíochta don lucht bainistíochta sinsearaí agus oibríochtúla, do scairshealbhóirí, do ghníomhaireachtaí airgeadais, d'údaráis rialála, agus don phobal i gcoitinne. Tá siad freagrach freisin as feidhm rialaithe airgeadais agus bainistíochta Uisce Éireann a fhorbairt d'fhonn riachtanais ghnó reatha agus amach anseo a chomhlíonadh. Oibreofar faoin mBainisteoir Cánach agus beidh an Ceannasaí Oibriúcháin Cánach freagrach as tacú le comhlíonadh cánach, feabhsúcháin próisis agus ar an ionad bairr feabhais cánach. Chomh maith leis sin, beidh an Ceannasaí Oibriúcháin Cánach freagrach as feasacht mhéadaithe ar dheiseanna agus rioscaí cánachais a chur chun cinn.Príomhdhualgais agus Freagrachtaí:Forbairt agus cur i bhfeidhm próiseas agus córas um dhea-chleachtas cánachais a chur chun cinn a thacaíonn le comhlíonadh oibríochtúil cánach.Próiseas láidir struchtúrtha cánach a chur i bhfeidhm laistigh de do limistéar ina ndéantar na rialuithe cuí airgeadais chun a chinntiú go gcomhlíonann cúrsaí cánach na dlíthe is infheidhme. A chinntiú go soláthraítear tuairisceáin ábhartha agus a chinntiú go mbaintear amach spriocdhátaí agus go sásaítear ceanglais ghaolmhara na gCoimisinéirí Ioncaim ar bhealach éifeachtúil agus éifeachtach i gcomhréir leis an reachtaíocht/treoir chánach. A chinntiú go gcuirtear athbhreithnithe cánach ar phróisis idirbheartaíochta i gcrích go héifeachtach agus obair le príomhpháirtithe leasmhara chun dul i ngleic le saincheisteanna. Dul i dteagmháil le húdaráis chánach sheachtracha agus le comhairleoirí cánach seachtracha ar bhonn áitiúil agus réigiúnach. Feasacht mhéadaithe ar rioscaí, ar bhagairtí agus ar dheiseanna cánachais a chur chun cinn ar fud Uisce Éireann.Príomh-shaincheisteanna cánachais a aithint agus obair leis an mBainisteoir Cánach agus le Ceannasaithe Cánach chun a chinntiú go ndéileáiltear leo ar bhealach cuí nó go bhfuil rialacháin i bhfeidhm chun neamhchosaint / rioscaí cánachais a íoslaghdú agus chun brabaigh a uasmhéadú. Cultúr feabhsúcháin leanúnaigh a chur chun cinn i measc na foirne cánach trí na nithe a chuireann gníomhaíocht chun cinn i do limistéar a fhiosrú go leantach. Obair le príomhpháirtithe leasmhara chun dul i ngleic go réamhghníomhach le ceisteanna agus saincheisteanna leanúnacha. A chinntiú go gcuirtear gach athrú ar chórais i gcrích a theastaíonn chun comhlíonadh cánach a chur chun cinn, agus gníomhú mar an duine teagmhála le TF chun a chinntiú go gcuirtear cúrsaí cánach san áireamh mar chuid d'fhorbairtí leanúnacha córais. Páirtithe leasmhara gnó a bhainistiú, páirt a ghlacadh i gcruinnithe ábhartha agus caidreamh láidir oibre a chothú le custaiméirí Cánach. Gníomhú mar phointe géaraithe do cheisteanna. Dul i ngleic go stuama agus go réamhghníomhach le coimhlint laistigh de d'fhoireann féin agus i dtionscadail ilréimsiúla.Dualgais agus Freagrachtaí Ginearálta Obair i gcomhar le príomhpháirtithe leasmhara inmheánacha ar fud ghnólacht UÉ.Freagrach as gealltanais sláinte agus sábháilteachta a chur chun cinn agus a sheachadadh ar fud UÉ agus a shlabhra soláthair, iompair dhearfacha a neartú agus cuspóirí agus riachtanais sláinte agus sábháilteachta ar na caighdeáin is airde sa tionscal a sheachadadh. The function oversees the management of UÉ's liquidity, investments, funding, cash management, reporting activities and financial risks and is responsible for developing and maintaining best in class treasury processes, procedures, and control environment. Additionally, the teams drive the corporate planning, budgeting and forecasting, and all related activities for Uisce Éireann and are accountable for the development, refinement and analysis of short and long-term forecasting models across the organization as well as tax compliance, strategy and planningThe Finance area within Uisce Eireann ensures effective financial management of the organisation and provides the expertise, services, and information to support the business in achieving its required business outcomes, including supporting the financial and information requirements of Uisce Eireann. The Corporate Finance Team develop the Finance and Management Accounting areas of Uisce Eireann and deliver high-quality management, statutory and regulatory financial information and ensure that the highest level of assurance and service on the organisation's finances is provided to senior and operational management, to shareholders, financial agencies, regulatory authorities and the public. They are also responsible for developing Uisce Eireann's financial and management control function to meet current and future business requirements. Reporting into the Tax Manager, the Tax Operational Lead is responsible for supporting tax compliance, process improvements and the tax centre of excellence. The Tax Operational Lead will also have responsibility for promoting increased awareness of taxation risks and opportunities.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Drive the development and implementation of best practice taxation processes and systems which support the delivery of operational tax compliance.Implement a robust, structured tax process within your area with appropriate financial controls to ensure tax compliance with applicable laws. Ensure the delivery of relevant returns and ensure that the related Revenue deadlines and requirements are achieved in an efficient and effective manner in accordance with tax legislation/guidance. Ensure that tax reviews of transactional processes are completed effectively and work with key stakeholders to address issues. Engage with external tax authorities and consultants locally and regionally. Promote an increased awareness of taxation risks, threats and opportunities across Uisce Éireann.Identify key taxation issues and work with the Tax Manager & Tax Leads to ensure appropriate actions are taken or controls are in place to minimise taxation exposures / risks and maximise returns. Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the tax team by continually looking at the drivers of activity in your area. Work with key stakeholders to proactively address queries and ongoing issues. Ensure the delivery of all system changes required to drive tax compliance, act as the point of contact with IT to ensure that tax is considered as part of ongoing system developments. Provide appropriate support / advisory / training to the business on tax-related matters, including ensuring that operational compliance is not compromised by contractual changes researching and resolving technical queries from the business, carrying out periodic reviews, and advising of any updates in new tax legislation. Assist the Tax Manager to ensure that the tax team is the centre of excellence for technical taxation matters. Provide tax audit support in operational taxes. Manage business stakeholders, participate in relevant meetings and develop strong working relationships with Tax customers. Act as point of escalation for queries. Skilfully and proactively address conflict within own team and in cross-functional projects.General Duties and Responsibilities Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ businessResponsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standardsSupport the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectivesConducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann's Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulationOther duties as required.Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Relevant third level degree and at least 5-7 years' relevant experience.Professional qualification in Tax with associated current membership.Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA), is preferable.Strong exposure to all areas of taxation including RCT, VAT, WHT, PSWT, PAYE, LPT, Corporation & Deferred Tax. Knowledge of Irish tax legislation and experience of dealing with the Irish tax authorities is desirable.Prior experience in tax strategy implementation, planning support and projects. Ability to prioritise tasks, manage and deliver high-quality work within timelines, and manage resources while remaining focused on and aligned to team goals and objectives.
