We are seekinga highly skilled and motivated Lead Test Engineerto join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working closely with clients, and is passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions. As a Lead Test Engineer, you will provide leadership to the test team across projects, mentor team members, and ensure the successful delivery of full-stack applications.
Role Responsibilities
Define and execute comprehensive Verification & Validation strategies, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing, aligning with risk analysis and requirements.
Provide technical guidance to a team of Test Engineers, fostering collaboration and technical growth.
Oversee and contribute to the creation of test plans, protocols, cases, and traceability matrices, ensuring coverage for software features using both manual and automated tests.
Select, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks and promote transition towards higher levels of automation.
Coordinate test execution, manage defect triage, track issues, and facilitate resolution with development teams.
Collaborate with Development and Quality teams and ensure all testing adheres to medical device regulations; maintain documentation for audit readiness and regulatory submissions.
Champion best practices, improve QA processes, and promote an agile testing culture.
Key Qualities and Experience Sought
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8 years of experience in software testing, ideally within regulated industries like Medical Devices.
2 years of experience managing the day to day work of software test teams.
Experience with test management tools (Jira, XRay), automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Appium, Playwright), CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), scripting (Python)
Excellent leadership, communication (verbal & written), problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Experience with multiple Software Development Lifecycle models.
Experience communicating and working with customers and senior stakeholders.
Desirable
Strong understanding of FDA regulations related to Medical Devices (21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 62304).
Knowledge of risk-based testing and traceability in medical environments.
Familiarity with cybersecurity tooling and testing strategies.
Some experience testing embedded and firmware software.
Experience building or maintaining automation frameworks in a regulated environment.
