Overview
Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reservations Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our team at our unique four-star property, located in the heart of the city. This role is a Fixed Term Contract for a period of 6 months, commencing in November 2025.
Responsibilities
* Be accountable for all individual reservations and ad hoc group bookings for the property, ensuring that sales opportunities are yielded and maximized and that no business opportunities are lost.
* Manage all guest issues, respond to queries, and recommend ways to increase revenue. Be fully aware of all hotel facilities and services and promote these opportunities.
* Respond to all reservations enquiries in a timely and efficient manner in line with hotel policies and rate structure, according to the standards in place.
* In liaison with the Revenue Manager & General Manager to maximize bedroom occupancy and revenue.
* Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to stay ahead of trends in the local market.
* Ensure implementation of the Rooms management Sales plan and promote a proactive sales approach.
* Assist the Revenue Manager to manage and administer GDS, third party websites and channel manager; compile weekly/monthly forecasts.
* Manage and develop the Reservations Assistant, ensuring the workload is managed effectively.
* Make reservations and enter information into the PMS; compile weekly Group and VIP lists for distribution to all departments.
* Manage group blocks, including organizing reservations and rates, responding to special requests for rooms and rates, and managing cut-off dates, deposits and contracts.
* Verify commissions by ensuring all stays are invoiced correctly; cover the Revenue Manager's responsibilities in their absence.
* Follow through on no-show and late cancellation charges and ensure that all third party channels and CRS are updated accordingly.
* Work closely with Front Office and other departments to ensure guests’ requests or package items are fulfilled by the appropriate department.
* Attend daily operations meetings, revenue strategy & business review meetings and monthly HOD meetings as required.
* Resolve guest complaints and implement changes to prevent future issues; monitor quality assurance program scores and guest feedback and take corrective action when necessary.
* Assist with preparation of the Rooms Sales annual budget and business plan; perform periodic system audits to ensure data quality and process integrity; monitor CRS and PMS interfaces; understand system connectivity to take advantage of revenue opportunities.
* Attend weekly revenue management calls/meetings to ensure rates and occupancy are maximized; ensure that property policies and procedures are fully implemented, including health and safety guidelines and GDPR.
* Be aware of all reservation procedures and assist with reception duties when required; maintain a high standard of quality service and promote a positive working environment.
* Compliance with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, Licensing and Employment, ensuring team members are trained and aware of responsibilities.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Reservations Manager and/or Assistant Reservations Manager within a four-star property in Ireland
* Experience using Opera Cloud
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* A passion for delivering memorable guest experiences
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities
