Now Hiring: Security Guard (Private Emergency Accommodation for People Experiencing Homelessness)
Location: North Dublin City
Hours: Full-time / Part-time / Shift work (including evenings and weekends)
About Us, We provide private emergency accommodation for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to offer a safe and secure space during times of crisis, while working in partnership with local authorities and support services to help people take steps toward long-term stability.
The Role
We are seeking a professional, compassionate Security Guard to support the safety and wellbeing of residents in our private emergency accommodation. This is not just about security — it's about creating a calm, respectful environment for those facing some of life's most difficult challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the safety and security of residents, staff, and the premises
Monitor entry and exit points and conduct routine patrols
Respond to incidents promptly and appropriately, using de-escalation techniques when necessary
Work closely with accommodation staff to uphold a trauma-informed, supportive environment
Complete accurate incident reports and daily security logs
Report any safeguarding or health and safety concerns
About You
Valid PSA licence
Previous experience in a similar role — experience in supported housing, emergency accommodation, or social care settings is an advantage but not required.
Experience in Security Sector preferred
Confident, calm, and respectful in challenging situations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to treating all individuals with dignity and without judgment
