High Voltage (HV) Site Supervisor

Role Purpose
The HV Site Supervisor will support the Site Manager in the organisation and coordination of site-based activities, with particular responsibility for
high voltage electrical works
.
The successful candidate will:
* Lead and coordinate teams of HV electrical professionals on site.
* Ensure all HV installation, testing, and commissioning activities are executed safely and to the highest standards.
* Track and record daily site progress and activities.
* Deliver projects on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Uphold strict HV safety protocols while developing team capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership in the safe execution of HV works, including switching, testing, isolations, and energisation.
* Ensure compliance with HV electrical safety rules, permits-to-work, and control of HV apparatus.
* Supervise installation of HV switchgear, transformers, cabling, and protection/control systems.
* Liaise with commissioning teams, clients, and network operators on energisation activities.
* Oversee HV subcontractors and ensure proper integration with other site works.
* Enforce HV safety measures, exclusion zones, and control systems to achieve "Zero Incidents."
* Maintain detailed records of HV activities, permits, isolations, and switching operations.
Requirements
* Senior Trades qualification or equivalent, with
5+ years' experience
in High Voltage systems.
* Proven hands-on experience with HV equipment (switchgear, transformers, protection & control).
* Strong ability to interpret HV schematics, protection schemes, and electrical drawings.
* Knowledge of HV testing and commissioning processes.
* Demonstrated success as a trade leader in HV environments.
* Familiarity with HV safety rules, permits, and isolation procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong client focus.
* Organised, decisive, results-oriented, and able to perform under pressure.
