Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Games Development Specialist to join our team in Louth. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering GAA games development policy and related programmes in local clubs and schools.
About the Role
The role is focused on establishing self-sufficient and sustainable clubs by building capacity and capability within the volunteer structure. Key targets include growing and retaining coach and player participation.
Main Responsibilities
* Implement Association policies, strategies and programmes relating to coaching and games development in a timely manner.
* Manage key relations with clubs and schools to support growth and engagement across all Gaelic Games.
* Coordinate and supervise other county personnel, including Participation Officers.
* Liaise with Coach Developers to deliver coach and referee development.
Leadership and Strategy
* Support the County Head of Games in developing and implementing the County Games Development Strategy.
* Evaluate the effective use of GAA coaching and games development IT Systems.
* Coordinate delivery of programmes in areas of potential growth and develop strategies to increase engagement in Gaelic Games.
Club Support
* Coordinate delivery of a club support programme to achieve self-sufficiency and sustainability.
* Collaborate with Club Coaching Officers to provide training and development opportunities.
Schools Support
* Coordinate delivery of the GAA 5 STAR Programme in primary schools.
* Oversight of delivery of participation and retention programmes in primary and post-primary schools.
Talent Academy/Player Development Support
* Support the County Head of Games in identifying players and coaches for the talent academy programme.
