Counselling Opportunities
Counsellors provide sessional counselling services across various counties including Cavan, Laois, Leitrim, Monaghan, Tipperary, Mayo and Longford. The role involves delivering blocks of eight counselling sessions per referral.
The successful candidate will be expected to adhere to the Code of Ethics of the accrediting body, maintain robust data protection and confidentiality, and engage in quality assurance exercises and support evaluation processes.
Clients are typically referred by healthcare professionals for a range of issues. As a counsellor, you will interact with clients in a professional manner, gather information as appropriate, complete initial assessments, and issue summary reports summarising interventions and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain client confidentiality and adhering to relevant data protection regulations.
* Engage in regular supervision while providing counselling services.
* Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and signed before each session.
* Conduct thorough initial assessments and collect relevant information from clients.
* Develop and implement effective intervention strategies tailored to individual client needs.
* Compile detailed reports outlining progress and recommended next steps.
* Prioritise high-quality service delivery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
