Internal Sales Engineer
FläktGroup Ireland is seeking a proactive Internal Sales Engineer to join our team, driving customer engagement and supporting the delivery of tailored HVAC and cooling solutions to our global client base.
Purpose of the Position
Support FläktGroup Pharma & Life Sciences sales activities by providing high‑quality technical and commercial sales support for regulated HVAC solutions, ensuring compliance with GMP, cleanroom standards, and customer specifications while enabling profitable growth and a high level of customer confidence.
Main Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and timely technical and commercial quotations for pharmaceutical and life‑sciences projects in line with customer URS, specifications, GMP requirements, and FläktGroup standards.
Select and configure FläktGroup HVAC products and systems for regulated environments, including cleanrooms, production areas, laboratories, and support spaces, with a focus on energy efficiency.
Support external Sales Engineers with bid preparation, technical concepts, value engineering, and compliance statements for pharma projects.
Interpret User Requirement Specifications (URS), functional design specifications (FDS), P&IDs, layouts, and schedules to identify the most suitable FläktGroup products and optimization opportunities.
Ensure solutions align with customer requirements.
Act as a technical point of contact for customers, consultants, and validation teams during the project lifecycle particularly in the design and tendering phase.
Coordinate closely with factories, product management, engineering, and quality teams to confirm technical feasibility, lead times, documentation scope, and costs.
Support the preparation of technical documentation such as design descriptions, performance data, compliance matrices, and deviation lists.
Maintain accurate opportunity, quotation, and pricing data within CRM and ERP systems.
Ensure a structured and effective handover of secured orders to order processing and project execution teams, including scope, assumptions, and technical constraints.
Contribute to continuous improvement of pharma sales tools, standard solutions, and ways of working.
Basic Requirements of the Position
Education / Knowledge / Certification
Must‑Have: Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Nice‑to‑Have: Training or certification related to cleanroom technology, GMP, or pharmaceutical engineering.
Experience
Must‑Have: Experience in HVAC or building services with exposure to pharmaceutical, life‑sciences, healthcare, or other regulated environments.
Nice‑to‑Have: Experience working with GMP environments; Experience in an international organization; Exposure to quotation tools, CRM, or ERP systems (e.g. Salesforce, SAP); Experience of cross‑cultural organisations.
Skills
Must‑Have: Clear written and verbal communication skills in Technical English; Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems for regulated and critical environments; Ability to understand and apply regulatory and quality requirements within technical solutions; High level of attention to detail and documentation accuracy; Commercial awareness with the ability to balance compliance, cost, and margin; Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Nice‑to‑Have: Experience with product selection tools / software; CAD abilities; Additional language skills.
