Design Manager - Dublin
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to work on a large-scale Data Centre project in the Dublin region. The successful candidate will lead and oversee the pre-contract technical service solution design function and team.

The Role:
* Lead and oversee the pre-contract technical service solution design function and team.
* Oversee design, integration, deployment, and guide customers in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility and ROI studies.
* Provide a platform for good communication and coordination between Architects, Structural Engineers, and Service Engineers.
* Ensure any design development is communicated with stakeholders from a financial aspect.
* Have good commercial and contractual awareness.
* Hold and lead workshop meetings with specialist Sub-Contractors.
* Coordinate and track the submittal and approval process of Designs and materials ensuring Client Rep sign off and approval.
* Look at risk/design problems by finding solutions with our Design Team before they materialize.
* Develop look ahead plans.
* Plan and co-ordinate with site PM and SM making sure all parties are aligned.
* Have good planning and programme skills.
* Should have a good all-round knowledge of the construction industry across all disciplines including technical aspects of design and construction details etc.
* Should have a good understanding of building regulations, environmental – health and Safety regulations.

Requirements:
* Strong project management experience.
* Ability to assess electrical and mechanical capacity to make informed decisions.
* Proven demonstration of working with AutoCAD, Vision or similar.
* Technical background.
* Experience in commercial data centre, co-location environments considered an advantage.
* Excellent Customer Service skills with a proven track record in developing client relationships.
* Ability to use systems including CRMs, Salesforce a distinct advantage.
