Cancer Care Nurse Job
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at the forefront of cancer care.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
This role involves providing specialist nursing services to patients with cancer diagnoses, including assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating care plans in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and analytical thinking, as well as the ability to practice safely and effectively within their scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist nursing services to patients with cancer diagnoses
* Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate care plans in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team
* Participate in medication reconciliation and support medical and pharmacy staff with medication reviews
* Identify and promote specific symptom management strategies and escalation pathways
* Provide patients with appropriate self-management strategies and education
Requirements:
* Currently registered nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses/Midwives held by the relevant authority
* Oncology qualification from an accredited institution or willingness to undertake the course and/or in-house training
* Experience in the specialist area of cancer care
* Effective communication skills, organisational abilities, and analytical thinking
* Ability to practice safely and effectively within their scope of practice
