Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MEP Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public and private sector projects, with excellent knowledge of commercial, industrial, or pharmaceutical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of Development Budgets: Create detailed development budgets and feasibility appraisals for various projects.
* Value Management: Implement value management and value engineering techniques to optimize project outcomes.
* Estimate Preparation: Prepare estimates including system take-offs, material take-offs (MTO), and building-up rates from first principles for all MEP installations.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and cash flow forecasts for project stakeholders.
* Whole Life Cycle Assessment: Conduct whole life cycle and carbon assessment and analysis for projects.
* Cost Management System Operation: Operate the Carron + Walsh Cost Management System to ensure efficient project delivery.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO certified quality, environmental, and health & safety management systems.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Level 9 postgraduate certificate in MEP quantity surveying or B.Eng. in MEP engineering.
* Experience: At least 3 years of MEP estimating experience in consultancy or contracting environments supporting commercial, industrial, or pharmaceutical construction projects.
* Skills: Proficiency using common office programs and IT, preferably with experience in digital take-off, BIM, and life cycle analysis/carbon assessment software.
* Personal Qualities: Ability to work proactively within project teams, commercially and contractually focused, and technical knowledge of MEP installations.
