Orange Recruitment, on behalf of Enterprise Ireland, is seeking a highly motivated Regional Development Executive (RDE) to join the Southern Region team, based in Cork. Reporting to the Regional Manager (Southwest), the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening regional enterprise development and supporting the growth of ambitious indigenous companies across Cork and Kerry. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence regional economic growth, collaborate with key stakeholders, and contribute to national enterprise policy implementation.
The Role
Orange Recruitment, on behalf of Enterprise Ireland, is seeking a Regional Development Executive (RDE) to join the Southern Region team, based in Cork. The successful candidate will work to strengthen regional enterprise development and support growth of indigenous companies across Cork and Kerry.
Key Responsibilities
 * Identify and support regionally significant clients to drive growth and competitiveness.
 * Collaborate with local authorities, IDA, Chambers, Higher Education Institutions, and other partners to deliver impactful enterprise initiatives.
 * Support the delivery of regional infrastructure and enterprise projects (REDF, BEDF, Clusters, Smart Regions).
 * Facilitate CEO Leadership Forums and other peer learning and mentorship programmes.
 * Assist in implementing the Regional Enterprise Plan and entrepreneurship initiatives.
 * Represent Enterprise Ireland on Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Evaluation and Approvals Committees.
 * Identify and develop strategic projects that strengthen and maximise future growth in the Southern region.
Candidate Profile
 * Proven experience in regional development and/or business client development is essential.
 * Strong understanding of the factors driving regional economic growth.
 * Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills across both public and private sectors.
 * Strong communication, influencing and problem-solving abilities.
 * Knowledge of Enterprise Ireland’s services and Ireland’s enterprise landscape is highly desirable.
 * Third-level qualification in a business-related discipline preferred.
 * Flexibility to attend regional events outside of normal business hours.
