Overview
Our client is a long-established and multi-award winning national main contractor with offices throughout Ireland.
Renowned for the successful delivery of large-scale projects on time and on budget, they specialise in new build Commercial, Education, Healthcare & leisure Projects, ranging from €30M-100M in value.
They wish to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial activities on a €50M Commercial Project in Dublin.
As a Tier 1 contractor, you will report to the Commercial Manager and be supported by two Project Surveyors.
You will have a proven track record in planning, coordinating and reporting on all commercial activities to maximise project profit.
The ideal candidate will have led surveys on similar projects and be able to influence the entire commercial approach for the benefit of the project.
Responsibilities
Managing all commercial aspects of the project
Cost control through efficient planning, forecasting and estimating
Valuations and variations
Reviewing tenders
Procurement of sub-contractors, equipment and materials
Risk analysis
Dispute resolution
Regular reporting to directors and the client and preparing relevant documents
Qualifications and Experience
Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, including direct contact with clients
Ability to work to programmes and meet deadlines
A good understanding of the construction process from an operations perspective
Experience working as the commercial lead on €10m+ new build projects
A minimum of 10 years' industry experience
A degree in Quantity Surveying
