Philanthropy Manager, Fundraising, Dublin

The Philanthropy Manager leads a high-performing team to deliver an annual fundraising target of over €3 million.
This strategic role focuses on developing and stewarding Major Donors, Trusts & Foundations, and Legacy supporters to secure transformative funding for Focus Ireland's mission.
What you will do:
Strategic Leadership & Target Delivery
Lead the delivery of over €3 million annually across Major Donors, Trusts & Foundations, and Legacy income streams.
Develop and implement strategies to grow income, strengthen pipelines, and exceed ambitious targets.
Monitor performance against KPIs, providing regular reporting and taking corrective action where needed.
Donor Engagement & Stewardship
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with major donors and philanthropic partners.
Oversee cultivation plans, proposals, and impactful reporting to ensure exceptional donor experience.
Organise donor engagement activities, including events, project visits, and tailored communications.
Programme Development & Representation
Design and execute research, cultivation, and closing strategies for high-value gifts.
Oversee development of persuasive proposals, pitches, and presentations to secure transformative funding.
Represent Focus Ireland as a senior ambassador at meetings, events, and external engagements.
Team Leadership & Culture
Manage and mentor a team of five, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance team capability and retention.
Legacy Giving Strategy
Lead the organisation's legacy giving strategy, embedding best practices across all fundraising teams.
Support the Legacy Officer to deliver integrated campaigns and long-term growth.

Manage departmental budgets effectively and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and organisational policies.
Contribute to wider strategic initiatives and organisational development.
What you will need:
Relevant 3rd level degree preferred.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding major gift fundraising targets.
Strong leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
Expertise in major donor strategy, legacy giving, and philanthropic culture development.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Advanced research and analytical capabilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
