The role
As an Application Specialist for this global Surgical Navigation company, you will support neuro and spinal surgeons to use advanced medical technology in a dedicated operating theatre in Cork, Ireland.
Responsibilities
You will train surgical teams – including surgeons, theatre nurses, surgical technicians, and radiographers – on a state‑of‑the‑art navigation and imaging system used in neuro and orthopaedic spine procedures. Following full training, you will provide hands‑on support during live cases in the operating theatre, ensuring the clinical team gets the most from the technology at every stage.
Based permanently on‑site at a single Cork hospital, Monday to Friday, you will become a trusted and valued extension of the clinical team.
You will be part of a close‑knit Ireland team and a wider UK and Ireland group. Day‑to‑day, you will work independently, but you will have strong peer support, regular team contact, and access to an international network.

Requirements
A degree in biomedical engineering, life sciences, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply, ideally with at least one year of post‑graduate experience.
Previous experience as a Clinical Specialist, Clinical Application Specialist, Theatre Nurse / Surgical Nurse, Radiographer, Surgical Technician, or Biomedical Engineer is considered relevant.
A mix of clinical, technical, and interpersonal skills is essential – well‑presented, articulate, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, able to work independently, and comfortable with software and technology.
Must be based in Cork or the immediate surrounding area with the right to work in Ireland.
Package
Salary guide: €40‑50,000 plus generous bonus, car and excellent benefits.
