The Opportunity
The Resilience Analyst will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of EirGrid’s enterprise‑wide business resilience capability. This role focuses on operational delivery and analysis, ensuring resilience principles are embedded in processes and plans that safeguard the continuity of EirGrid’s critical services in a dynamic risk environment.
The role holder will assist in maintaining and improving the business resilience framework, supporting scenario planning, risk assessments and resilience reporting. They will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure continuity plans are up to date, resilience exercises are executed effectively and lessons learned are captured and implemented.
The Chief Governance Office is a directorate within the Group with a mission of ensuring that the highest standards of excellence are maintained in the delivery of risk management, governance, legal, compliance and company secretarial activities and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Resilience Framework Support
Assist in maintaining and updating EirGrid’s business resilience framework and associated documentation.
Support integration of resilience objectives into operational processes and projects.
Contribute to scenario planning and emerging risk analysis to inform resilience strategies.
Business Continuity & Crisis Preparedness
Maintain and update business continuity and crisis management plans across directorates.
Coordinate and document resilience exercises and simulations, ensuring outputs are captured and shared.
Support incident response activities by providing timely information and analysis during disruptions.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to implementing best practices.
Risk Management & Resilience Integration
Support business impact analysis (BIA) activities to identify critical processes, dependencies and recovery priorities.
Assist in embedding resilience considerations into risk assessments and business planning.
Gather and analyse data to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation actions.
Support alignment of resilience activities with regulatory and governance requirements.
Resilience Intelligence & Reporting
Monitor external trends and emerging risks, preparing summaries and insights for senior stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of resilience plans, exercises and compliance documentation.
Prepare regular reports on resilience performance and progress against objectives.
Stay informed on developments in resilience and continuity management.
Culture & Engagement
Develop and deliver targeted training programs on business continuity, crisis management and resilience to ensure staff are equipped to respond.
Raise awareness of resilience‑related risks, plans and processes throughout EirGrid, fostering a culture of preparedness and proactive risk mitigation.
Liaise with internal teams to ensure continuity plans and resilience measures are understood and implemented.
About You
Minimum of 3 years of experience in resilience or business continuity roles.
Qualified to degree level or professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
Professional certifications in business continuity or resilience desirable.
Familiarity with business continuity and resilience standards (e.g., ISO 22301) desirable.
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi‑task and prioritise under pressure of deadlines, while working independently.
Prior experience working in the energy industry and/or a regulated environment is helpful but not essential.
