Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Civils Project Manager to lead a project based in Athlone. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with a minimum of 2 years' work experience.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Establish and promote best practice in health, safety, and environmental matters.
2. Evaluate and implement correct and accurate setting out methods and techniques.
3. Ensure drawings and specification documents contain sufficient information for construction works.
4. Request any missing information in time to prevent delays.
5. Conduct quality checks in line with company and project procedures.
6. Communicate effectively with foremen and supervisors.
7. Support the team with written risk assessments and method statements.
8. Keep a full and accurate daily site diary.
Key Requirements:
* Able to produce, implement, and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures.
* Proven experience/training with latest surveying/CAD techniques.
* Able to use setting out equipment including total station.
* Able to communicate and present to management, clients, and public.
* Able to discuss engineering issues with people across various levels and disciplines.
* Knowledge of current civil engineering legislation as well as Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
