Our company is seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Ireland. We are looking for someone who can work on complex projects, such as marine and civil infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough investigations and assessments of geotechnical solutions for various structures
* Design and implement ground improvement schemes and retaining wall solutions
* Work closely with colleagues to develop innovative coastal protection and scour remediation strategies
* Lead the design and refurbishment of existing marine infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Requirements:
* Degree or Masters in Geotechnical / Civil Engineering or equivalent
* A minimum of 37 years of experience in geotechnical engineering in Ireland or the UK
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality geotechnical investigation, design, interpretation, and reporting services
* Strong technical knowledge of foundations, soil-structure interaction, and relevant Irish/UK geotechnical standards
* Proficiency in geotechnical analysis and design software (e.g. PLAXIS, WALLAP, Oasys)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders
