Technical Sales Engineer - Metrology & Vision Systems
Ireland & Northern Ireland | Field‑Based
A well‑established Irish technology solutions provider is hiring a Sales Engineer to take ownership of a growing territory, selling high‑end metrology, optical and vision systems into industry and academia.
This is a hands‑on, consultative role where technical credibility really matters.
The Role
Run technical demonstrations and application assessments
Translate complex measurement challenges into tailored solutions
Sell capital equipment through value‑led, technical discussions
Act as a trusted technical advisor across your accounts
The role involves travel across Ireland and Northern Ireland, with some overnight stays required.
What They’re Looking For
Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
Experience with metrology, optical or vision systems
Hands‑on and comfortable with basic field service
Clear communicator with strong customer engagement skills
Background in selling capital equipment
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems
Comfort with image analysis software and automation
Full, clean driving licence valid in Ireland and Northern Ireland
