ProSource are recruiting on behalf of their client, a leading consultancy with projects throughout Ireland and the UK, for a Civil Engineer with a background in water, for a position in their Cork office.
Role
* Produce high-quality civil engineering designs for water and wastewater infrastructure
* Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports in line with Irish Water standards
* Co-ordinate with multidisciplinary teams
* Support planning submissions, technical assessments, and stakeholder presentations
* Assist with hydraulic analysis and design using appropriate modelling tools
* Ensure compliance with Irish Water Codes of Practice, technical standards, and statutory requirements
* Review drawings and respond to design-related queries throughout all project phases.
Requirements
* Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent)
* Minimum 4 years’ post-graduate experience in civil design roles, including Irish Water or local authority projects
* Strong design and drafting experience in water supply and/or wastewater systems
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design tools (MicroDrainage, Revit, or BIM advantageous)
* Familiarity with Irish Water design processes, planning requirements, and public procurement
* Good written and verbal communication skills
