Position Summary
The Process Engineer will play a key role in optimizing and supporting the production of structural and nonstructural components used in data center fitout projects. This role focuses on improving manufacturing processes, driving operational excellence, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, a practical mindset, and experience in manufacturing environments such as metal/aluminium fabrication, mechanical assembly, or modular construction.
Key Responsibilities

Process Optimization & Standardization

Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for structural (e.g., frames, support systems) and nonstructural (e.g., containment, panels, brackets) data center products.
Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and capacity modelling to remove inefficiencies and increase production throughput.
Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process maps to ensure consistent product quality and repeatability.

Production Support

Provide hands‑on engineering support to production teams during daily operations.
Troubleshoot process issues and lead root‑cause analysis for defects, bottlenecks, and equipment failures.
Support introduction of new products to the production floor, including process validation and pilot builds.

Quality & Compliance

Partner with Quality teams to ensure compliance with product specifications, internal standards, and customer requirements.
Develop and implement in‑process quality checkpoints, testing methods, and control plans.
Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to reduce scrap and rework.

Continuous Improvement

Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
Identify automation or digitalisation opportunities to modernise the production process.
Track KPIs such as cycle time, yield, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and cost per unit.

Equipment, Tooling & Layout

Specify and improve tooling, fixtures, jigs, and equipment to support production efficiency and ergonomics.
Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams on equipment upgrades, calibration, and preventive maintenance schedules.
De‑bug and qualify new equipment to meet production standard expectations.
Contribute to factory layout optimisation to enhance material flow and reduce waste.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain to support new product introduction (NPI) and ongoing improvements.
Participate in customer or internal audits, engineering reviews, and design‑for‑manufacture (DFM) sessions.

Skills & Experience

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment (data center, modular construction, metal fabrication, precision engineering, or similar preferred).
Experience with Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM), Six Sigma methodologies, and root‑cause analysis techniques.
Understanding of CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and common production planning tools.
Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work hands‑on on the production floor in a technical support capacity.
Excellent documentation and organisational skills.

Desirable

Experience in data centre, modular construction, or MEP manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar frameworks.
Experience with risk‑management tools (pFMEA, control plans).
