Ergo IT Recruitment are seeking a Desktop Engineer for a 6 month day rate contract role with a client based in Dublin City Centre.
This person will provide 2nd line support to staff and play a key role in delivering high‑quality technical support, ensuring a smooth user experience.
What will you do?
* Deliver 2nd line IT support onsite and remotely
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
* Build and deploy desktops/laptops using Microsoft SCCM
* Install software and manage deployments via SCCM
* Complete user handovers and ensure a positive support experience
* Perform hardware break/fix and coordinate with suppliers
* Reimage devices and maintain accurate asset records
* Support Microsoft technologies including M365, Intune, Defender & Copilot
* Contribute to internal projects and identify service improvements
What do you need?
* 2+ years' desktop support experience in an enterprise environment
* IT Degree would be advantageous
* Strong SCCM experience and solid hardware knowledge
* Skilled in troubleshooting Windows 10, Citrix, MS Office, networking, and printing
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Process‑driven, organised, and able to prioritise effectively
* Self‑starter who thrives in a busy, team‑focused environment
