We are seeking a customer-focused, proactive and technically skilled Weighbridge Service Engineer based in Leinster to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, calibration, and repair of weighbridges, as well as providing responsive support for breakdowns. This role requires strong customer communication, technical competence, and the ability to prioritize and schedule tasks independently.
The role will include technical training and ongoing office-based support to assist the engineer in completing their site-based activities.

As a Field Service Engineer in the weighing industry, you'll manage a customer portfolio, delivering on-site and remote support through breakdown response, preventative maintenance, equipment calibration, and technical fault resolution.

Responsibilities:
Service & Maintenance of Weighbridges:
* Plan visits with customer
* Carry out service & maintenance of weighbridges to required standards
Breakdowns and Technical Resolutions:
* Respond to customer call-outs
* Diagnose and repair equipment
* Escalate repairs to Sales, where further work is required
* Inform customer where work will be chargeable and outside of existing cover
Calibration & Verification of Equipment:
* Carry out testing of weighing equipment to required standard
* Submit reports in required format for Trading Standards
Administration:
* Complete worksheets in a timely manner
* Manage stocks to ensure parts available when required
* Maintain company equipment assigned to the engineer
* Communicate issues outside of the engineer's scope to the Service Manager
Requirements:
Experience in a field engineer role in the weighing or similar industry (Min 2 years)
Ability to work independently and schedule your own time
Experience managing customers' needs
Full driving license
Good standard of spoken and written English
