Senior Dementia Care Nurse
This is a unique opportunity to join our healthcare team as a senior dementia care nurse. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate registered nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality person-centred care to individuals with dementia.
About the Role:
1. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of dementia-specific care in our day centre, ensuring that all clients receive personalised support and guidance.
2. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each client's needs, incorporating best practice guidelines from HIQA and NMBI standards.
3. Your clinical expertise will enable you to provide expert advice on medication administration, wound management, and palliative care while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
4. As part of your role, you'll foster strong relationships with clients' families through open communication channels by addressing their queries promptly via phone calls or text messages when needed., you'll participate in decision-making processes concerning service improvements based on feedback received during regular patient surveys conducted quarterly within those first six months after hire date.
