Auction Entry Gate Coordinator
The role of Auction Entry Gate Coordinator is a front-line position that requires a diligent and customer-focused individual to oversee the smooth entry of vehicles into the auction yard. As a key member of the team, you will provide exceptional service to customers, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet customers as they arrive at the auction gate and guide them through the vehicle check-in process.
* Inspect and log incoming vehicles to verify key details such as make, model, and registration.
* Distribute forms to customers for the disclosure of vehicle details and ensure they are completed accurately.
* Manage the flow of vehicles into the auction yard, ensuring orderly entry and minimising congestion.
* Coordinate with the auction team to track and update vehicle entries in the system.
* Provide clear instructions and assistance to customers regarding the auction process.
* Perform basic security checks on incoming vehicles and report any discrepancies or issues.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area at the gatehouse and ensure all documentation is filed correctly.
* Handle customer queries professionally and escalate issues to the relevant department when necessary.
Skill Requirements:
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills with an ability to prioritise under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
* Attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry and inspection of vehicles.
* Basic computer skills, including familiarity with data entry and Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work independently while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
Desirable Qualifications:
* A full, clean driving license is desirable but not essential.
