Job Title: BIM Manager Public Works (Contract) Location: Dublin Contract Duration: 12 Months renewable up to 4 Years Reports To: Project Director / Design Manager Position Overview We are seeking an experienced BIM Manager to oversee the Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for a major public works project.
The BIM Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all project stakeholders adhere to BIM standards, facilitating collaboration between disciplines, and delivering accurate, coordinated, and data-rich models throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a contract position aligned with the duration of the project.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) in compliance with project and public agency requirements.
Manage and coordinate BIM models across multiple disciplines (architectural, structural, civil, MEP, etc.).
Ensure adherence to national, local, and client BIM standards and public works compliance requirements.
Facilitate model coordination meetings and resolve clashes through Navisworks, Revit, or other BIM platforms.
Provide BIM training, mentoring, and technical support to project team members.
Oversee model version control, data exchange protocols, and digital deliverables.
Ensure BIM deliverables align with construction sequencing, cost estimating, and facility management integration.
Collaborate with design consultants, contractors, and public agencies to maintain transparency and compliance.
Prepare and present BIM progress reports to project stakeholders.
Manage digital twin development and handover processes for long-term asset management.
Qualifications Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Masters preferred).
Minimum 7+ years of experience in BIM management, including at least 3 years on large-scale public works, infrastructure, or government projects.
Strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Auto CAD Civil 3 D, BIM 360, and other BIM platforms.
Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and public sector BIM guidelines.
Experience managing multi-disciplinary coordination and complex stakeholder requirements.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with construction processes, codes, and procurement practices for public projects.
