We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day finance operations at our Head Office in Maynooth. This role is ideal for someone who already has a solid understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, can work confidently with minimal supervision, and is able to use their own initiative to manage workloads effectively. The role will be part-time, ideally 5 mornings a week but open to flexibility, working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial processing and reporting.
Your Responsibilities
1. Accounts Payable (AP)
2. Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
3. Supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
4. Preparation of payment runs
5. Handling supplier queries
6. Weekly AP reporting
7. Accounts Receivable (AR)
8. Raising and processing customer invoices
9. Assisting with query resolution and account reconciliations
10. Debt chasing and credit control support
11. Banking & Reconciliations
12. Weekly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
13. Investigating and resolving reconciling items
14. General Finance Support
15. Assisting with ad-hoc finance tasks as required
16. Supporting the Finance Manager with reporting and month-end activities
17. Prepare financial reports, schedules, and balance sheet support
18. Maintain organized financial records and support audits
19. Manage ad-hoc tasks for the finance department
Your Responsibilities
* Minimum 3 year's + experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
* ATI qualification is desirable
* Proficiency with accounting software -Sage, Excel intermediate level
* Ability to work on own initiative and manage tasks independently
* A self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving approach
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Confident communicator, able to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers/customers
* Maintains confidentiality and high standards of integrity
