Orange Recruitment are looking for an experienced engineering leader to join a large-scale manufacturing operation in a key site leadership position focused on equipment reliability, operational performance and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a central role in keeping operations running efficiently while helping shape long-term engineering and maintenance strategy across the site. Key Responsibilities: Leading maintenance and engineering activities across the site to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency Developing proactive maintenance strategies focused on reliability, performance and reduced downtime Managing and mentoring maintenance technicians and engineering support teams Driving preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives across plant equipment and infrastructure Supporting breakdown response, fault diagnosis and root cause investigations Identifying opportunities to improve plant reliability, maintenance performance and operational output Managing maintenance planning, spare parts control and contractor coordination Supporting engineering improvement projects and equipment upgrades Monitoring maintenance KPIs, downtime trends and reliability metrics Ensuring all engineering activities are completed in line with safety, compliance and operational standards Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and production operations Ideal Background: Previous experience leading maintenance or engineering operations within manufacturing or industrial environments Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical and production systems Experience managing technical teams within fast-paced operational environments Strong preventative maintenance and equipment reliability knowledge Experience using CMMS and maintenance planning systems Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving capability Engineering qualification, apprenticeship or relevant technical background advantageous Why Apply?
