Location
This is a remote, field-based role that requires extensive travel across the Island of Ireland, visiting key regional accounts, distributors, and on-trade partners. The position will also involve evening and weekend work on occasion, in line with business needs such as events, activations, and trade shows.
What You'll Do
As our new
Business Development Manager, Glendalough Distillery
, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence across the Island of Ireland. This is a hands-on, field-based position focused on driving sales growth, customer engagement, and premium brand visibility across On-Trade, Retail, and Wholesale channels.
You will execute trade programs, support activations, and build lasting relationships with customers to strengthen Glendalough Distillery's premium brand presence in our home market.
Additional Key Responsibilities Include
* Identify and develop new and existing On-Trade, Retail, and Wholesale accounts to deliver Glendalough Distillery's annual budget and commercial targets.
* Drive distribution, visibility, and rate of sale across all channels, ensuring Glendalough's portfolio is well represented in key outlets.
* Support the execution of trade marketing, promotional, and visibility programs in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing teams.
* Ensure execution excellence in-store and on-premise, including merchandising, staff training, and compliance with promotional plans.
* Build strong relationships with bartenders, retailers, distributors, and key trade partners to drive engagement and advocacy for the brand.
* Assist in planning and executing events, tastings, and activations to enhance brand awareness and consumer trial.
* Track and report on sales performance, market activity, and competitor insights, providing feedback to inform commercial and marketing strategies.
* Represent Glendalough Distillery as a brand ambassador at trade events, masterclasses, and industry forums, bringing the brand's story and values to life.
What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Sales, or related field.
* 5+ years' experience in sales or a customer-facing role within the spirits, beverage, or FMCG industry.
* Proven track record of driving distribution, sales, and brand visibility across On-Trade, Retail, or Wholesale channels.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to represent premium brands in market.
* Commercially focused mindset with analytical skills to interpret data, identify opportunities, and drive results.
* Full clean drivers license and travel across Ireland as needed
