AuxiliaGroup Recruitment is hiring an Account Director on behalf of our client, a leading Irish insurance brokerage with a major client base.

This is a key role in the sales and commercial function for Commercial Insurance and it will take ownership of both an existing client base as well as responsibility for developing a strong and consistent new business pipeline. You will have responsibility for developing, executing and reviewing a strategic account development and new business development plan.

Responsibilities:

* Management of existing client insurance requirements including renewals, mid-year reviews and claims handling.
* Manage, support and develop the Account Executive team interactions with clients.
* Achieve and exceed commercial targets such as income retention, acquisition and referrals.
* Managed aged debt and collection of premiums.
* Comply with management audit requirements.
* Drive new business and ensure a high level of new business quote activity in the commercial insurance space.
* Ensure a strong focus on customer relationship management and customer service.
* Work collaboratively to ensure the team is meeting monthly and annual targets.
* Ensure all compliance standards are achieved and work with compliance teams to quality standards are adhered to.

Requirements:

The right individual will possess the following:

Core Skills:
Only candidates with all of these requirements can be considered for this role

* CIP qualification is a minimum standard required and ideally you will be ACII qualified or working towards this
* 5 years of insurance industry experience or closely related financial services experience at a senior level in a commercial role is essential.
* Insurance industry sales experience is a must.
* Strong insurance product technical knowledge and understanding.
* Compliant with the Central Bank's Minimum Competency Code and Fitness & Probity.

Soft Skills:

* Exceptional communication, presentation and client facing skills.
* A strong level of attention to detail.
* Target, goal and deadline orientated.
* Strong negotiation skills and the ability to understand customer needs.
* First class stakeholder, client and relationship management skills.
