Career Vision Recruiters are currently recruiting an experienced Restaurant Manager to join a well-established hotel property in Co. Galway. We are looking for a vibrant, charming, well-organised, hands-on Manager to lead the team and ensure consistent service. Accommodation available if required.
Responsibilities
* Manage all activities of the Restaurant.
* Achieve Restaurant goals by executing marketing and sales strategies.
* Manage staff performance and carry out performance and probation reviews.
* Manage systems in line with forecasting on a day-to-day basis and in advance.
* Identify talent within the Restaurant team for progression.
* Motivate and influence the Restaurant team in a professional manner.
* Develop and maintain relationships with other Departments within the Hotel to ensure operational excellence and smooth running.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with Heads of Departments.
* Manage and lead the health and safety of the Department.
* Delegate tasks and responsibilities to Waitstaff and Supervisors.
* Collaborate with the Executive Head Chef and other staff to implement and style menus and specials.
* Manage communication from management to staff in the Department.
* Attend Management meetings when required.
* Manage and control staffing budgets and costs and stock.
* Perform additional ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
* 2+ years experience as a Restaurant Manager.
* Previous experience in a 4- or 5-star Hotel or high-volume, high-quality food outlet (desirable).
* Proven ability to demonstrate the competencies required for the role.
* Ability to effectively communicate with staff and guests in a professional manner.
* Proven time management skills and strong organisational abilities to ensure the smooth running of the Department.
* Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to delegate tasks and projects to staff.
