Role Overview
The Senior QC Analyst – Analytical Chemistry is responsible for ensuring the quality of manufacturing processes and product outputs through advanced chemical analysis and quality control activities. The role plays a critical part in maintaining high standards of compliance, data integrity and product quality within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
This position operates with a high level of independence and technical authority, acting as a subject matter resource for the laboratory and supporting continuous improvement across QC operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform complex chemical and analytical testing independently
• Manage and support quality control activities in line with regulatory and GMP requirements
• Support laboratory operations including instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and performance monitoring
• Review, investigate and document quality control and manufacturing deviations
• Prepare clear and compliant technical reports
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior analysts
• Drive improvements in laboratory and quality control processes
• Collaborate cross-functionally to investigate and resolve technical and quality issues
Technical & Professional Skills
• Strong analytical chemistry and laboratory testing capability
• Experience managing quality control processes in a regulated GMP environment
• Solid understanding of documentation, data integrity and regulatory compliance
• Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments, maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to investigate and resolve technical issues affecting product quality
• Experience preparing deviation reports and working closely with Quality Assurance
• Ability to coach and support less experienced team members
• Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives within QC operations
• Strong organisational and documentation skills

within the laboratory.

is essential. The role involves regular collaboration with colleagues across Quality, Manufacturing and Technical teams.
