As we continue to expand, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Officer to join our team to support our colleagues across the country in providing our services to those who we care for.Reporting to the Human Resource Business Partner, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our teams nationwide. Within this role you will get to immerse yourself in all facets of HR operations, from policy advisory and employee relations management to HR systems maintenance. You will be flexible, professional, approachable, highly organised, and have an excellent work ethic.ResponsibilitiesRespond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide expert assistanceProvide HR support to Managers and team members on HR policies, procedures and contractual issues to ensure compliance with legislation and consistency across the organisationGeneral administration duties relating to the HR function, in support to our management team nationwideLiaise with payroll as required on any staff pay items linked to internal promotions, etcSupport employee relations and internal communications activitiesAlignment and implementation of policies and procedures across the organisationMaintenance of the HR system across the organisationUndertake projects relating to a range of HR disciplines as assigned by the Director of Human ResourcesWork closely with the recruitment team to support the achievement of our talent acquisition plans nationwideRepresent HR at interdepartmental meetings and meetings as requiredProduce accurate and professional correspondence, policy documents etc. as requiredPerson Specification – Essential CriteriaLevel 8 Degree in Human Resources, Law, Business or similar related subjectMinimum of 1 year’s experience working in a HR role in a HR departmentExcellent knowledge of current Irish employment legislationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all stakeholdersDesirable CriteriaExperience of working in the care sectorExperience in the use of HRISProficient in MS packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint portals, Dynamics 365Proficient in documentation and record-keeping, with attention to detailAbility to handle multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and work under pressureStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsHold current CIPD membership and qualificationBenefits To Working With CompanyHybrid working arrangementsIncome Protection Scheme4 working weeks annual leaveOn-going mentoring and supportContinuous Professional Development supportHigher Education BursaryCareer progression opportunitiesRefer a friend initiativeOrchard Values AwardEmployee Assistance Programme for staff and their familiesAbout UsThe Orchard Care Group is a wholly Irish owned company dedicated to providing the best possible care, supports and outcomes for children, young people, and adults in Ireland across a range of settings and locations, in fostering, disability and mainstream residential services.
