Join our team and become a key member of a fast-growing finance team at our busy head office in County Kildare.
Role Responsibilities & Duties
* Produce timely and accurate management accounts for review and consolidation.
* Process prepayment & accrual journals on Sage software to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Assist with monthly stock reconciliation, cost analysis versus budget, and balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany balances.
* Support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc reporting, operational queries, and VAT returns (UK & Ireland), Intrastat, payroll returns, and CSO reporting.
* Liaise effectively with auditors and assist with projects to improve internal controls.
* Provide cover and support for AP, AR, and Payroll functions, as well as holiday cover and backup for the Financial Controller as needed.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* Proficiency in IT, especially Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Working knowledge of Sage software is advantageous but not required.
* Relevant qualification - qualified accountant or experienced accountant capable of producing management accounts.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to question and clarify details, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
* Positive attitude, ability to multitask, and excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
* Team player, flexible to business needs and month-end processes.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting, with discretion when handling sensitive information.
