Cell Lead

Report To: Production Manager
We are seeking a successful candidate to increase output and fulfill all functions related to the production of company manufactured products in the relevant cell.
Responsibilities:
1. Manufacture batches in compliance with SOPs, including filling, capping, and sealing as required.
2. Conduct appropriate preventative maintenance on all equipment, including calibration and checks as per schedule.
3. Contribute to lean initiatives such as 6S, Kaizen, Kanban, and Lean.
4. Manage specific cell waste streams, ensuring correct storage before disposal.
5. Communicate with team members regarding material requirements.
6. Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and maintain housekeeping within the cell.
7. Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with QC and planning teams to meet demand within the allocated timeframe.
8. Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and capacity.
9. Train and mentor production operators and technicians, ensuring targets and deadlines are met.
10. Assist with upskilling and cross-training as required and contribute to cross-functional teams.
11. Complete necessary training and upskilling programs.
12. Manage the Work Compass Platform and Time Management System for the cell.
13. Lead daily performance and target meetings specific to the cell and contribute to the wider production meetings.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
* 3rd level science qualification in chemistry or a relevant discipline, or a minimum of an ordinary level degree.
* At least 3 years of experience in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of batch chemical manufacturing, ISO17025, ISO9001:2009, Good Laboratory Practice, and chemistry.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including cross-functional collaboration.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and organize in a deadline-driven environment.
